Oftentimes the more expensive option will buy you less heartbreak.

The more expensive pair of shoes will keep you from replacing them a few months down the road.

The more expensive training will prevent you from making the same mistakes over and over again.

Pay more for the better thing, and you get to miss out on the downsides of being cheap.

I've been using an electric toothbrush at the request of my wife, who's a dental hygienist. It's more expensive than a normal toothbrush, but it's preventing a lot of disease and oral issues, and is keeping my teeth much cleaner.
