The only way to measure your progress is to compare yourself now from where you started.
Since the future doesn’t exist yet and everyone has their own paths and starting points, it’s not fair to measure yourself against your ideal or against someone else’s current position.
It doesn’t even make sense.
Measuring yourself from where you are now compared to where you started is therefore the only true way to measure yourself.
If you’re getting better over time, you’re exactly where you should be.
